  1. Headed to the library and found this gem of a cookbook. Back in the day, the Two Peas & Their Pod and Maria Lichty was very inspiration when it came to cooking in my kitchen. Not to mention linking my own food blog to the “What I Ate Wednesday” blog carnival. Did you happen to participate?
  2. I tried my hand at making Baba Ganoush. Sounds easy, right? It did taste good, but didn’t come out like it should, in my opinion. So I called it “eggplant dip with toasted pine nuts” and it was still gobbled up at a friend’s gathering. We will try it again. I was told there wasn’t enough tahini in my dip.
  3. Golden Gate Park closed a main road permanently within the park so people could play. I decided to take a nice solo ride on an eBike. Found out a great perk from Bay Wheels – that if there is not a classic bike available, the eBike fee is waived. Saved me $6, I got some exercise and peace of mind.
  4. Put my sewing skills to use by taking an old curtain panel and turning it into a door window panel. It only required my to stitch up a hem on the bottom and install these two window rods on the door. Now my back door no longer has a fringe bottom or is “temporarily” stapled to the door frame. It looks like a solid fixture. Now to find something cute to help me tie the curtain back to let in some light.
  5. I was treated to a delicious Fish dinner served with fufu (a dough found in African cuisine). I was so excited because I already knew the main dish was going to be amazing. But I have always wanted to try fufu; making it an ‘eat with your hands’ experience. Definitely recommend trying it.
